Just prior to their Week 15 clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the New York Jets had begun the search for their new General Manager. That piece of reporting appears to have galvanized Aaron Rodgers, who marshalled the Jets offense to a 32-25 win over the Jaguars.

This was just the Jets' fourth win of the season after they came agonizingly close in an overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins last week. Here's all you need to know about how Rodgers did at the EverBank Stadium this afternoon.

Exploring Aaron Rodgers' stats today

The overtime loss to the Dolphins in Week 14 was the Jets' fourth straight loss but there were some signs that the offense was heading in the right direction. Rodgers threw for 339 yards in that game and against the Jaguars this afternoon, he picked up right where he left off.

The four-time NFL MVP went 16-of-30 for 289 yards and three touchdowns in what wasn't exactly a case of vintage Rodgers, but it will suffice. Two of those tuddies went old friend Davante Adams's way while one of them, the first one of the evening, went to Garrett Wilson.

Adams had his best outing in a Jets uniform thus far, racking up 198 yards off nine catches. For his part, Wilson hauled in three catches for 56 yards as he took a backseat to the former Packers WR. The run game didn't quite show up in all its might as Breece Hall made his way back from a knee injury but all in all, this win will give the new Jets GM, whoever he is, some hope that there are some foundational pieces to work with in 2025.

The Jets have three more games left on their schedule. They will take on the LA Rams in Week 16, followed by games against the Buffalo Bills and another showdown with the Miami Dolphins.

As things stand, with a 4-10 record, the Jets are projected to have the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, though the order could yet change with three more weeks of football to go.
