The Carolina Panthers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 36-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Week 3, but wide receiver Adam Thielen left the game with a hamstring injury.

The 34-year-old receiver is expected to miss time, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz's report on Monday. However, it is unknown when exactly he will be back.

The severity of Thielen's injury may still worry fans and fantasy managers, given there is no set timeline for his comeback. Having said that, it's crucial to bear in mind that these kinds of injuries can keep a player out of action for two weeks, a month, or even longer.

UPDATE: The Panthers are placing Thielen on Injured Reserve. The veteran WR will now miss the next four weeks of football at a minimum.

The Panthers' receiving group is still quite strong despite the loss of a vital offensive weapon in Thielen, so it's possible that the veteran wideout will take enough time to heal completely from his hamstring injury.

Diontae Johnson is expected to get more workload. The team also has Xavier Legette and Jonathan Mingo on its depth chart.

Adam Thielen injury update: What happened to the Panthers' WR?

Adam Thielen was injured while catching a touchdown throw from quarterback Andy Dalton that put the Panthers ahead 21-7 in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Thielen grabbed his leg and appeared to be in pain immediately after catching the touchdown pass. His teammates began to indicate that he required medical attention. Just before halftime, the wide receiver walked off the field and headed straight to the Panthers' locker room.

The Panthers initially said Thielen was questionable to play again with a hamstring injury. However, in a matter of minutes, they declared him out for the remainder of the contest.

Thielen had three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in the limited time he was on the field before departing the game.

Adam Thielen was replaced in the starting lineup by Xavier Legette, whom the Panthers selected with the final pick in the first round of the 2024 draft.

In three games this season, Thielen has recorded eight receptions for 109 receiving yards and one score. Fans and fantasy managers should watch out for Jonathan Mingo and Xavier Legette in Thielen's absence.
