Aidan Hutchinson is an American professional football defensive end for the Detroit Lions. of the NFL. The young footballer is a Michigan native who attended Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan where he began playing high school football. With his versatile skill set, he played at different positions, including, tight end, defensive end, offensive line and long Snapper. After high school, he committed to playing college football at the University of Michigan.

Following his collegiate career, the University of Michigan alum started his professional football journey with the Detroit Lions in the NFL. He marked a remarkable start, setting a franchise rookie record with three sacks against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. He continued to perform outstandingly throughout his rookie season, earning him accolades such as the 2022 Pepsi NFL Player of the Year, NFC Defensive Player of the Week and NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month. After completing his college football journey, Hutchinson was selected as the second overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He signed a four-year rookie contract worth $35,713,386 with them.

Hutchinson attended the University of Michigan, where he played college football from 2018 to 2021. In 2018, as a freshman, he played in all 13 games and recorded 15 tackles. In 2019, as a sophomore, he started in all 13 games and added 68 tackles along with 4.5 sacks. Unfortunately, his season-ending injury, limited him to three games only, concluding the junior season with 13 tackles. He made a comeback in the 2021 season as a senior, setting a new team record with 14 sacks in a single season.

His collegiate career was characterized by notable accolades and accomplishments, including, earning Unanimous All-American Honor (2021), securing the Ted Hendricks Award (2021), the Lombardi Award (2021), the Lott Trophy (2021) and the Chicago Tribune Silver Football. Additionally, he earned a spot in Third-team All-Big Ten (2019) and First-team All-Big Ten (2021). All his achievements have solidified his place among the best players in college history.
