Michigan-born Aidan Joseph Bernardi Hutchinson is an American football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the NFL. He was the second pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Hutchinson was selected in the PFWA All-Rookie Team, appearing in 17 games and recording 52 total tackles. He played in all 13 games as a true freshman for Michigan while his college career took momentum in his second year.
Hutchinson returned from a season-ending injury (suffered during 2020) in 2021, registering the team's single-season sack record at 14. In addition, he was the only defensive player out of three quarterbacks to be named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
