In his first season as a full-time starter, Jordan Love has solidified himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league immediately. However, alongside his rise has been the study contribution of arguably the best backup running back in the league, AJ Dillon. However, for long-term fans of the Baltimore native, his production in the NFL has been unsurprising, to say the least.
As a high school football player, he ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at the Nike Opening and was even named MVP of the game. After originally choosing the University of Michigan, he would later commit to Boston College for his college football career. In his very first season, he would immediately prove his mettle. Becoming the primary option on offense as the weeks rolled forward, he would tally eye-popping performances one after the other. By the end of the year, he stood at an astounding 1,589 rushing yards, a freshman school record. For his performance, he was named the ACC Rookie of the Year and the Offensive Rookie of the Year, while also earning a nod to the First-Team All-ACC.
He would continue his fine form in a second year, and despite missing three games, he would finish with over 1,100 rushing yards, while also getting minor opportunities as a receiver. As a result, he was once again named to the First-Team All-ACC. His final season for Boston College was just as spectacular as he would finish the year leading the ACC with 1,685 rushing yards leaving him just 220 yards shy of the all-time ACC career rushing record.
