Wideout Amari Cooper has missed the Buffalo Bills' last two games against the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts in Weeks 9 and 10 due to a wrist injury. The Bills are hoping their star wide receiver will be back for the team's crucial Week 11 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, who are still unbeaten.
Cooper's availability against the Chiefs next week is still up in the air, but Bills head coach Sean McDermott stated Monday that he is improving and getting closer to playing again.
“I think some of its pain, pain tolerance, and threshold. So we'll just see," McDermott said.
Cooper has caught five passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in two games since joining the Bills via a trade from the Cleveland Browns.

Due to a right wrist injury, wide receiver Keon Coleman has already been ruled out by the team for Week 11. Cooper's availability for that pivotal game may therefore be vital for the team.
After defeating the Colts in Week 10, the Bills now have an 8-2 record in the AFC. They have a sizable advantage in the AFC East division and could wrap up that title soon, which would help them clinch an automatic playoff berth.
Having said that, the club will be eager to prove that they are title contenders when they play the 9-0 Chiefs next week. The Bills may have to go through that game without Cooper in the mix, especially if the team decides to take its time with the receiver to make sure he has fully recovered.
If Cooper is ultimately ruled out, the Bills will depend on Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins, and Curtis Samuel to keep the passing game going in Week 11.
Amari Cooper injury update: What happened to the Bills' WR?
In an attempt to make Cooper the focal point of their passing attack, the Bills traded for him last month. However, he has not become familiarized with the system due to a wrist injury he sustained against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8. During the Week 8 game, the former first-round pick hurt his wrist while trying to block a Seahawks’ defender.
Cooper, who was only playing in his second game with the Bills against the Seahawks, made an impression up to the time he sustained the injury by hauling in five passes for 69 yards and one touchdown.
Cooper reportedly only began participating in the catching drills last Friday, despite being designated as a limited participant in every practice since he suffered the injury.
