The Detroit Lions, one of the successful franchises in the 2023 season of the National Football League, have been fortunate with their current number-one wide receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown. He began his NFL career with the Lions and remained with the team throughout his three-season stint in the league. Setting several records for the franchise, he has truly showcased his potential and expertise as a wide receiver.

As of the 2023 season, he has amassed over 1,500 yards, recording a career-high with 1515 receiving yards, 119 receptions and 10 touchdowns in a season. Notably, this is not his first 1000-yard season, in the past 2022 season, he recorded 1,161 receiving yards. For his performance, he earned the 2022 Pro Bowl selection and has secured a spot in the 2023 first-team All-Pro.

St. Brown hails from California, born in Anaheim Hills. During his formative years, he initially attended Servite High School, in Anaheim. After his freshman year, he transferred to Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. With a high five-star rating and a second ranking among receiver prospects, he decided to play college football at the University of Southern California (USC).

After completing college, he entered the 2021 NFL draft, where the Lions selected him as the 112th overall pick in the fourth round. He signed a four-year contract with the team worth $4.26 million. With the team, he became the youngest player with a 1,000-yard receiving season, setting a franchise record. Furthermore, in his rookie season, he recorded 912 receiving yards, establishing another franchise record for all-time rookie yards.

Amon-Ra St. Brown College

St. Brown attended the University of Southern California (USC) and committed to playing college football for the USC Trojans. In 2020, he secured a spot on the first-team All-Pac-12.

In 2018, as a freshman, he concluded the season with 750 yards, and 60 receptions and secured three receiving touchdowns. In 2019, he recorded over 1,000 receiving yards concluding the season with 77 receptions and six receiving touchdowns. Furthermore, he secured an additional 60 rushing yards and one touchdown.

He concluded his collegiate career in 2020 with 478 receiving yards, 41 receptions and seven touchdowns in six games.
