Andy Dalton is an American football player who plays In the National Football League (NFL) as a quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. He was picked 45th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft.

He signed a deal of 4 years of really worth $5.21 million with the Bengals in June of 2011. He played his very first game against the Cleveland Browns as the first-string quarterback. In a game against the Colts, he had a season-high 78.1 completion percentage and 111.5 passer rating and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month. Owens had a record-breaking rookie 12 months with over 3,000 passing yards and a minimum of 20 touchdown passes. At the beginning of his next season, he played a major role in his team’s victory against the Cleveland Browns. In the Cincinnati Bengals versus the Oakland Raiders game, he outperformed Bengals former quarterback Carson Palmer by throwing for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In the 2013 season, he helped his group win many games. But on many occasions, his performance was not stable in the following season which left enthusiasts upset and people wondered if he was ready to play the upcoming important games. In the 2014 season, he extended his deal with the Bengals for six extra years worth as much as $115 million. His worst game was when he played in opposition to the Cleveland Browns to earn a 2.0 passer rating and it turned out that it was the lowest by an NFL quarterback but he answered with a high score of 143.9 in a sport game the New Orleans Saints.

The Bengals continued their amazing performance in the 2015 season with an 8-0 streak however the streak came to an end after they did not win against the Houston Texans. Dalton was ranked 35th by his teammates on the list of NFL Top of 2016. In the following seasons, Dalton reached new heights in his career with the Cincinnati Bengals and after playing with them for 9 seasons, the Bengals released Dalton. He signed a new deal of twelve months worth $7 million with the Dallas Cowboys in May 2020. In 2020, Dalton was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list after testing positive for the virus. After playing with the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints for two years he signed a deal of two years with the Carolina Panthers in 2023.

Before Andy Dalton’s journey began in the NFL he played at Texas Christian University. In the 2009 season, Dalton led the Horned Frogs to a perfect 12–0 regular season. He finished the 2010 season with a perfect 13–0 record and he was ranked second in the AP poll.

Standing at 100 kg with a height of 6’2” and by his performance so far in his career, he hasn’t shown any sign of decline. Dalton married his longtime girlfriend, Jordan Jones and is a father of two sons and one daughter. Dalton and his wife founded a foundation namely the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation, which aims to help families and children in need.
