Andy Dalton or Russell Wilson: Who is a better fantasy pick?

New Orleans Saints v Arizona Cardinals

While battling numerous injuries, the Denver Broncos hope to get Russell Wilson back into the starting spot this week. However, another loss is unaffordable for Denver. If they do, there are already rumors of a fire sale this week.

With the lowest-scoring attack in the NFL and a four-game losing run, the Broncos traveled to London this gameweek. Russell Wilson and the attack have fallen far short of high preseason hopes.

Russell Wilson has completed 58.6 percent of his passes in his six starts this season, with three interceptions and five touchdown passes. He has two starts without a TD pass and one outing with two TD throws.

Russell Wilson appears to be on track to start for the Broncos this week in the absence of any setbacks. However, he'll likely need to train in full on Friday to get an opportunity to escape being labeled as injured.

Even if he gets back in time to play, his season probably won't immediately turn around. If he does, fantastic, but we recommend staying away from Russell Wilson if you can. Therefore, Andy Dalton is the superior fantasy quarterback for Week 8.

In his finest performance of the year so far, Andy Dalton completed 30-of-47 throws for 361 yards and four TDs. Unfortunately, he also threw three interceptions, but still managed to claim the honor as QB4 for the week. In Week 8, Dalton gets a chance to have yet another productive day at work.

The Raiders, who give up the most fantasy points to the position, are his opponents. In the past four weeks, Dalton has only had one game with multiple touchdowns, but he might add to that total for this game. In Week 8, he is a mid-QB2.

Will Andy Dalton start in Week 8?

Dennis Allen, the head coach of the Saints, declared on Wednesday that he would continue to use Andy Dalton as his starting QB.

"Right now, Jameis Winston is healthy and back. So as we sit here right now, we're going with Andy. Andy will stay there if we keep our strong offensive play and ball movement."

Despite their 1-3 record under Dalton, the Saints are scoring 31 points per game on average. With only 32.8 pass attempts per game, the offense has tended to favor the run.

For the past four weeks, he has had the 16th-best fantasy point average among QBs. Andy Dalton will start in Week 8, even though there's still a good chance New Orleans may return to Winston at some point during the season.
