Anthony Richardson and Russell Wilson are two quarterbacks with long, storied histories with the injury report this season. However, both players are back in the fold. Managers might have been grappling with waiting on either player this season and with both now healthy, facing a starting decision. Here's a look at both players as well as a recommendation for Week 8.

The appeal of the Indianapolis Colts quarterback is his rushing ability. In most leagues, rushing quarterbacks tend to pile up the most points because rushing yards trump passing yards. However, if your quarterback throws interceptions and fumbles the ball left and right, it is all null and void. That won't be the case for Richardson this week but don't expect a breakout performance from him either.

At least, that is what Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer believes. The optimizer has projected 13.6 points for Richardson against the Houston Texans this week. That means Richardson might be stream-worthy but with no byes this week. You might be able to find someone with a higher chance of booming this week on the waiver wire.

Russell Wilson earned at least 25 points in most leagues thanks to his moonball-laden performance in which George Pickens made his 50/50 passes look like 100/0 passes. However, Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer predicts those passes will return to 50/50 in nature with 13.9 points against the New York Giants.

Russell Wilson has hit a high with the Steelers to start, but with plenty of history in such a position, the quarterback is less likely to implode the following week. As such, Wilson is worth keeping around. Even if you don't need him, stashing him now could pay dividends in a few more weeks with a greater sample size.

The difference between the quarterbacks will be razor-thin this week, almost making for a negligible choice when all is said and done. Wilson is projected to earn 0.3 points more, so he gets the nod.

Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer projects Wilson to earn 13.9 points against the Giants this week. Meanwhile, Richardson is due for 13.6 points. Neither quarterback is especially exciting this week. However, getting and keeping Wilson around for a few weeks to see his overall sample size might be worth the commitment.
