With the NFL’s announcement in mid-May of the 2024 NFL season’s football schedule, the Atlanta Falcons schedule was also released for the fans to quickly check out all the games their team will be playing in the new season come September.
The Atlanta Falcons are in the NFC South division which has been one of least dominating divisions for the past few years. Yet, the division remains competitive within itself since the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers along with the Falcons themselves are all struggling at the same time.
The Falcons are coming off a 7-10 record from 2023 which placed them third in the NFC South. However, they have made interesting decisions this off-season by acquiring veteran signal caller Kirk Cousins in free agency and adding Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Week 17 - December 28, 2024 - Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Commanders
A key game towards the tail end of the regular season will see the Falcons travel to Washington to face the Commanders in week 17. This game is essential for the Falcons as they can push for a victory since the Commanders aren’t one of the top teams at the moment. This game could be an important factor as the playoff race comes to an end.
