Tom Brady is taking another stab at retirement this year, and fans, pundits and media outlets are taking time to talk about the quarterback's run. At 45 years old, the quarterback is the oldest to have played the game in a number of categories.
To demonstrate just how long the quarterback has been on the field, SportsCenter posted a comparison of the quarterback's virtual doppelganger in the first Madden game he existed in and what he looked like in Madden 23. In response, fans largely ignored the quarterback's retirement and instead took the opportunity to trash the game. Here's what fans are saying:

Tom Brady wraps 2022 season with retirement
While many expected the quarterback to take his time in choosing his next path forward, not many expected an announcement to be made before the Super Bowl. Barely more than two weeks after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card, the quarterback decided to call it quits.
The day in which he decided to end his career also carries significance. According to Adam Schefter, the quarterback originally retired on Feb. 1, 2022. On February 1, 2023, the quarterback made another retirement post.
Will Tom Brady follow through on FOX contract?
The 2022 season carried a different tone from the outset in the eyes of many pundits as the quarterback's return to the league came with other changes. Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians elected to move into the front office and was replaced by Todd Bowles not long after No. 12's return.
Then, in August, Brady took a mysterious 11-day absence from the team. Later in the year, he also missed a pregame walkthrough to go to a wedding. Throughout the season, the quarterback's team flirted with .500 multiple times. In the games the quarterback finished, the team limped to an 8-8 record. In the end, the team won the NFC South with an 8-9 record.
The Buccaneers faced the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs and, despite cruising to a victory in Week 1 against Dallas, the team was blown out by Dak Prescott's unit this time.
Looking ahead, the Buccaneers are being forced to pivot to a new player at quarterback.
Meanwhile, with Brady retired, many expect the quarterback to be calling games for FOX in 2023. If the contract goes into effect this year, the former quarterback could be calling games at least until 2033 with the network.
With football seemingly effectively done, what else will the quarterback look to accomplish in his next phase of life?
