After graduating in 2020, he initially opted for the University of South Dakota but later changed his mind to Kansas State University. At the 2024 NFL Combine, the 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect recorded a 40-inch vertical and a 4.68 forty-yard dash, while at the 2024 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Washington Commanders as #53 in the second round. He was drawn to the Commanders because he got along well with David Raih, the team's tight ends coach, and the team had been eyeing him since the Senior Bowl, according to the Washington Commanders website.

Ben Sinnott College

Ben Sinnott went to the Kansas State University in 2020-2023, majoring in marketing. He redshirted his first season but was named for the first-team All-Big 12 Conference in his sophomore and junior seasons in 2022 and 2023. Several career accolades followed him at the Kansas State Wildcats, including two nominations to the All-American team (academic and honorable mention in 2023). He also tied Brock Bowers and Dallin Holker of Colorado State for the most touchdowns at his position with his receiving total, which was fourth among FBS tight ends.

One of the most productive tight ends in school history, Sinnott tied for the most receiving touchdowns of any player at the position with 1,138 yards and 10 touchdowns at the end of his career. Among all K-State tight ends, he has the third-most receptions (82) and fourth-most receiving yards over three seasons. That's due in large part to his exceptional 2023 season, in which he recorded 676 yards and six touchdowns, as per the Washington Commanders.
