With six teams on a bye and seven teams out of playoff contention, the Cincinnati Bengals must win against the Dallas Cowboys. The game, under the bright lights of primetime, is crucial to keep their slim chances of playing meaningful football in January alive.

As the Bengals get set to go up against the Cowboys, here's our prediction and fantasy outlook for the final Week 14 showdown.

Bengals vs Cowboys prediction

At this point, we know what Joe Burrow is. He's a game-changer and a game-winner. But this Bengals defense just isn't it. The Bengals haven't spent all that much money on making sure they keep the score down and having the offense bail them out every week just isn't a sustainable approach.

With all that taken into consideration, our NFL Playoff Simulator has the Bengals slipping to 4-9 this week to Cooper Rush's Cowboys with a 20-18 score, giving Dallas its sixth win of the year.

Bengals vs Cowboys fantasy outlook

The Bengals have allowed a sack in nearly every game this year, barring the one against the Panthers. Given that the Cowboys have taken a small step forward in being a competent defensive unit, we could see Micah Parsons go up against Joe Burrow at least once tonight.

That said, the Cowboys defense has not locked down opposing wide receivers. We know Burrow can sling it. And he has Ja'Marr Chase raring to go along with Tee Higgins. All three are must-starts this week.

Running back Chase Brown should also see some work against this Cowboys defense, which is a much better bet than any of the Cowboys RBs.

The only player we recommend looking at on the Cowboys roster is tight end Jake Ferguson, who will make his comeback from a concussion after missing the last two games. There's not much to like about this Cooper Rush-led offense, but since the Bengals have struggled against TEs all year, Ferguson should see a respectable fantasy haul tonight.
