On Monday night, the Atlanta Falcons battled the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in a critical game for the visitors' hopes of earning a postseason berth.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' crushing 40-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers saw them take a 1.5-game lead over the Falcons in the race for the NFC South title. The game against the Raiders was a must-win for Atlanta to keep their hopes of winning the division and earning a spot in the playoff alive.

With the Falcons' passing game being underwhelming and unreliable over their past four outings, the onus was on the ground game, specifically Bijan Robinson, to help them leave Las Vegas with a win. He's arguably the most reliable player on Atlanta's offense and he proved why on Monday night:

Bijan Robinson stats vs. Raiders in Week 15

Here are Bijan Robinson's numbers from the Atlanta Falcons' narrow 15-9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders:

  • Rush attempts: 22
  • Rush Yards: 125
  • Rushing Touchdowns: 0
  • Receptions: 1
  • Receiving yards: 10
  • Receiving Touchdowns: 0

The star running back did not find the endzone but had a terrific game in a slugfest. He had more rushing yards than quarterback Kirk Cousins had in the air, highlighting how critical he was to his team's victory.

He finished with 22 carries, his joint-biggest workload of the season. His 125 rushing yards was the most he managed in a game this season. He also had one catch for 10 yards.

Robinson's 135 yards from scrimmage was over twice as many as the next highest from either team. Raiders running back Ameer Abdullah finished with eight rushing yards and 58 receiving yards, a total of 66 from scrimmage.

The only thing missing from the Falcons star's performance was a touchdown. The game only had two, one from each side. However, the relief of leaving Las Vegas with a win will triumph over the disappointment of not finding the endzone for the fifth time in as many games.

Robinson's stellar display helped Atlanta get back to .500 for the season and keep their hopes of winning the division and earning a playoff spot alive.
