Blake Martinez surprised the NFL world by retiring out of the blue. On Sunday, he recorded 11 tackles against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but didn't even make it to the following game before calling it a career.
He had a solid NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders before calling it quits. In total, he played seven seasons in the NFL.
In those seven seasons, he was often a stellar defender. He was routinely among the league leaders in tackles, especially during his tenure with the Packers (from 2016 to 2020).

Unfortunately, he struggled to stick after that and couldn't make as much of an impact. However, he was still a decent linebacker, as evidenced by his 11 tackles on Sunday.
