Bo Chapman Nix is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. The Broncos drafted Nix with the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Nix was the first Broncos rookie quarterback after John Elway to start a game. He played for Pinson Valley High School growing up in Alabama. Nix broke the state record for total offensive yards in Alabama with over 12,000 yards and 161 touchdowns (127 pass, 34 rush). He also guided Pinson Valley High to two straight state championships in Class 6A.
Nix committed to the University of Auburn playing for the Tigers in 2019. He started all 13 games he appeared in, finishing with a 9-4 record in his rookie year. Nix completed 217 passes for 2,542 yards in 2019. After 34 appearances and a record of 21-13, Nix transferred to the University of Oregon. Nix ended with a 10-3 record averaging 8.8 yards per pass in his debut year at Oregon. He finished his collegiate career with 1,286 complete passes for 15,352 yards in five years. In 2023, he received William V. Campbell Trophy, Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and First-team All-Pac-12 honors.
