The Denver Broncos drafted Nix with the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. In his NFL debut, Nix passed 26 of 42 for 138 yards, two interceptions, and a rushing touchdown, but the Broncos fell 26–20 to the Seattle Seahawks.
