Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels were both selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. The Denver Broncos drafted Nix with the 12th pick, while the Washington Commanders selected Daniels with the second pick. Both rookie quarterbacks guided their teams to the playoffs after missing out in previous seasons.

Following the completion of the regular season, let's take a look at both QBs' stats and establish who wins ahead of the postseason.

How did Bo Nix perform in the 2024 regular season?

Bo Nix was doubted coming into the NFL. Some scouts considered him as a Day 2 pick, so it was a surprise to some when the Broncos took him off the board early. However, Nix silenced the doubters with an excellent rookie season at Mile High Stadium.

Nix recorded 3,775 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He was also a threat on the ground, racking up 430 rushing yards and four rushing TDs. Nix amassed the sixth most passing TDs in the regular season and completed an impressive 66.3 of his passes.

How did Jayden Daniels perform in the 2024 regular season?

When Jayden Daniels was drafted second overall, he was regarded as the next great hope of the Washington Commanders. Daniels hasn't just lived up to hype but he has radically surpassed expectations.

In his rookie season, Daniels registered 3,568 passing yards, 25 TDs and a mere nine interceptions. He has excelled on the ground, amassing an NFL rookie record of 891 rushing yards and six rushing TDs in 17 starts. Daniels ranked second among QBs in rushing yards behind two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.

Which rookie quarterback had the better season?

Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels had incredible rookie seasons. Nix was the catalyst for the Broncos ending a long playoff drought, as he was the missing piece to Sean Payton's versatile offense. Daniels has been an MVP dark horse for most of the regular season, with his elite performances guiding the Washington Commanders to a 12-5 record.

However, the stats and eye test don't lie, and there's a reason why Daniels is the runaway favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and his Commanders are more likely to make noise in the stacked NFC. Daniels and Nix will be starring for the foreseeable future, but the Commanders QB had the better debut campaign.
