Brandin Cooks is a professional American footballer who plays in the National Football League as a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. Cooks’s professional career started in the year 2014 when he was selected in the first round of the NFL draft 2014 by the New Orleans Saints.
Cooks, after being selected by the Saints, signed a deal with them for four years worth $8.3 million. He made his official NFL debut in the 2014 season against the Atlanta Falcons where he recorded 77 yards and a touchdown and had an 18-yard rush. Cook finished his debut season with 53 receptions for 550 yards and three touchdowns with seven carries for 73 yards. Cooks played two seasons with the Rams and he finished his final year with Rams in 2019 where he recorded 42 receptions for 583 yards and two touchdowns. In 2020 Cooks was traded to the Houston Texans. During his time with the Houston Texans Cooks reached new career heights by continuously showcasing top-notch performances. In 2022 Cooks signed a new contract extension deal with the Houston Texans for two years worth $39.6 million. Cook finished the 2022 season with 57 receptions for 699 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. In 2023 the Texans traded Cooks to the Dallas Cowboys.
