Brandin Cooks is an American professional football wide receiver, playing for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Born in Stockton, California on September 25, 1993, he was selected as the 20th overall pick of the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. Before Cooks stepped into the NFL, he played college football with the Oregon State Beavers football team. He received athletic scholarships from many colleges but he ultimately chose Oregon State University. He finished his freshman year with 31 receptions for 391 yards and three touchdowns. Cooks didn't stop there he continued to improve his skills and continuously deliver extraordinary performances in his sophomore year. In 2013 his junior year he played his last season with the Oregon State Beavers football team where in the following season he recorded 128 receptions for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns. After having a successful run in his college career Cooks announced that he would not participate in his senior year and instead entered himself in the draft of NFL 2014.

Cooks in his first season with the Houston Texans recorded 81 receptions for 1,150 yards and six touchdowns. He continued his excellent performance for the Texans and in 2022 he signed a contract extension deal with them for two years. The Houston Texans in 2023 traded Brandin Cook to the Dallas Cowboys.
