Brandin Cooks is an American professional football wide receiver, playing for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Born in Stockton, California on September 25, 1993, he was selected as the 20th overall pick of the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. Before Cooks stepped into the NFL, he played college football with the Oregon State Beavers football team. He received athletic scholarships from many colleges but he ultimately chose Oregon State University. He finished his freshman year with 31 receptions for 391 yards and three touchdowns. Cooks didn't stop there he continued to improve his skills and continuously deliver extraordinary performances in his sophomore year. In 2013 his junior year he played his last season with the Oregon State Beavers football team where in the following season he recorded 128 receptions for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns. After having a successful run in his college career Cooks announced that he would not participate in his senior year and instead entered himself in the draft of NFL 2014.

Where Does Brandin Cooks Play Now?

Brandin Cooks plays for the Dallas Cowboys as a wide receiver in the National Football League. Cooks's professional career in the NFL began in 2014 when he was chosen by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the draft NFL 2014.

After being selected by the Saints Cooks signed a deal with them worth $8.3 million for four years. In the 2014 season, in a game against the Atlanta Falcons, he made his NFL debut. In the following match, Cooks delivered a fantastic performance where he recorded 77 yards and a touchdown and had an 18-yard rush. Cooks, in his debut season, was able to participate only in 10 games and he finished the following season of 2014 with 53 receptions for 550 yards and three touchdowns with seven carries for 73 yards. Cooks continued to showcase brilliant performances in the upcoming season for the Saint. He finished his last season with the New Orleans Saints in 2016 where in the entire season he recorded 78 receptions, 1,173 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns. In 2017, Cooks was traded to the New England Patriots.

After a successful season with the New England Patriots in 2017, the Patriots traded him to the Los Angeles Rams in 2018. Cooks was then again traded by the Rams to the Houston Texans in 2020. Cooks in his first season with the Houston Texans recorded 81 receptions for 1,150 yards and six touchdowns. He continued his excellent performance for the Texans and in 2022 he signed a contract extension deal with them for two years. The Houston Texans in 2023 traded Brandin Cook to the Dallas Cowboys.
