North Carolina-born Braxton Berrios was a sixth-round pick (210th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. Berrios is a wide receiver and return specialist on the Miami Dolphins roster as of September 2024. Although he did not appear in any games his rookie year, the New England Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl LIII. Just after a season, Berrios was traded to the New York Jets in September 2019. He made his first start in the NFL in his third year in the league. Berrios led the league in average yards for kick returns (30.4) along with long gain (102) despite making only 1 start in the 2021 season. After five seasons and 65 appearances, Berrios left the New York Jets to join the Miami Dolphins in March 2023. In his six years in the NFL, Berrios has made 81 appearances having 134 receptions for 1,323 yards as of 2023.

Growing up in Raleigh, Berrios attended Leesville Road High School. He was ranked as a four-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals. Berrios also played in the 2014 Under Armour All-America before choosing the University of Miami. Getting straight into action in his freshman year, Berrios appeared in all 13 games. Berrios had a breakout senior season in 2017. Berrios led Miami in receptions (55) and receiving yards (679). Not only was he among Miami’s top offensive men, but he also received plenty of honours. Berrios won the CoSIDA Academic All-America, Jim Tatum Award and the All-ACC honourable mention in 2017.
