Not only will Adams get a fresh start with a new team, he will also reunite with former teammate Aaron Rodgers.
Adams and Rodgers were together at Green Bay from 2014 until 2021. The wide receiver was then traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, where he has spent the last two seasons.

The draft pick could become a second-round selection if the wide receiver is named a First or Second-Team All-Pro, according to NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Or, if the New York Jets make an appearance in the AFC Championship game or Super Bowl and the wide receiver is on the active roster.
Adams was named a First-Team All Pro in 2020, 2021 and the 2022 NFL seasons.
The Las Vegas Raiders also won't pay any of Davante Adams' salary, which now all falls on the New York Jets.
The 31-year-old will make $11.59 million for the 2024 NFL season. He is set to make $36.25 million in both the 2025 and 2026 NFL seasons, neither of which is guaranteed money.
While the Las Vegas Raiders won't be responsible for Adams' salary, they will still endure the dead salary cap space that comes along with the contract.
This season it is $13.67 million in dead cap space and in 2025, it will be $15.7 million in dead cap space the team will have to work around.
After being traded to the Raiders in 2022, Adams signed a five-year contract extension that was worth $141.25 million. At the time, he was the highest-paid wide receiver in the National Football League.
Davante Adams hasn't played since Week 3 after he suffered a hamstring injury. The New York Jets are anticipating his return to the field and his debut with the team in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The trade between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets is verbally agreed up but won't officially be complete until Adams passes a physical.
