The Commanders selected him with the 98th overall pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. That same year, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the team worth $5.04 million. As of Week 6 in the 2024 NFL season, Robinson has accumulated 1,855 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 53 receptions for 496 receiving yards, and 5 receiving touchdowns.

Before entering the NFL, Robinson played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, representing the University of Alabama from 2017 to 2021. According to Sports Reference, Robinson concluded his collegiate career with 2,704 rushing yards, 29 rushing touchdowns, 52 receptions for 446 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns.
