Brian Robinson Jr. and Rhamondre Stevenson have been among the favorite running backs to be compared on multiple fantasy football pieces. Surprisingly, however, they have yet to face each other one-on-one - a third party has often been involved.

But now, it is happening. Just the two of them pitted, value-for-value, outlook-for-outlook. Who wins?

Thursday marks Brian Robinson Jr.'s return to the field after a hamstring injury. Last time out, he had his smallest fantasy haul - just 8.6 points against the Chicago Bears. bringing his total tally to 90 flat.

He enters the game at the Philadelphia Eagles as Sportskeeda's RB24 in the fantasy football rankings, but anyone who expects a monstrous statement performance should be disappointed.

The Eagles have the second-anti RB defense, allowing only 16.68 points against the position. The only better-performing team in that department is the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs at only 14.01 allowed.

Rhamondre Stevenson was easily the best offensive weapon in the New England Patriots 19-3 win at the Chicago Bears, but his fantasy performance left much to be desired - only 7.7 points, a far cry from when he breached 20 against the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans.

Currently sitting at RB25, he definitely has room for improvement, especially against a Los Angeles Rams defense that has so far proven mediocre in both the real and virtual fields. Allowing only 21.9 points against running backs merits them 14th place - not bad, but not good either.

In a surprising outcome, Stevenson edges Robinson by .6 points despite losing the yardage metrics (both rushing and receiving) by a wide margin. How?

The quality of opposition is a major factor. The Commander is facing his toughest task to date - a smash-mouth unit that boasts dominators like Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Josh Sweat, Bryce Huff, Nakobe Dean, and Zack Baun.

The Patriot is also facing a quality unit that has Kobie Turner and Byron Young, but the two have much work to do before living up to the legacy of their dominant predecessor Aaron Donald.
