On Monday, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson told reporters Thomas is day-to-day with a contusion on the left side of his chest.
As per reports, Thomas' MRI didn't show any severe injury, and the Jaguars believe there is a chance for the rookie to recover in time to play against the Eagles on Sunday.
There were initial concerns that the player could miss a few weeks and although the receiver is sore, he said the scans are good and that he will aim to get back onto the field to practice by the end of the week.
While Thomas is currently questionable to play in Week 9, fantasy managers who want to pick him should monitor his progress closely in Jaguars' practice through the week.
Thomas has been a key offensive weapon for the Jaguars this season. The first-round pick has proven his worth by racking up 573 yards on 33 receptions and catching five touchdowns in eight games.
Thomas has tallied 123.8 fantasy points this season, averaging 15.5 points per game.
