Brock Purdy is an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers as of the 2024 NFL season. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 262nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. According to Spotrac, he signed a four-year rookie contract worth $3.73 million with the team that year. As of Week 13 of the 2024 NFL season, Purdy has recorded 8,361 passing yards, 57 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions, with an impressive passer rating of 105.7. Notably, he earned Pro Bowl honors in 2023 and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2022.

Purdy played college football at Iowa State University from 2018 to 2021. Over his time at Iowa State, he recorded over 12,000 passing yards, 81 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions (via Sports Reference). According to the official Iowa State website, he was named Big 12 Sportsman of the Year in 2022. He earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in 2020 and 2021, and Second Team All-Big 12 recognition in 2019 and 2021. Additionally, he was awarded Big 12 True Freshman of the Year in 2018. Brock Purdy Conference Championships Record

Purdy holds an NFL conference championship record of 1-1.

In the 2022 NFC Championship Game against the Eagles, Purdy injured his right elbow in the first quarter and was replaced by Josh Johnson. After Johnson's injury, Purdy returned but only handed off the ball, and the 49ers lost 31–7.

In the 2023 NFC Championship Game, Purdy led the 49ers to a 34–31 comeback win over the Detroit Lions. In Super Bowl LVIII, he threw for 255 yards and a touchdown but lost 25–22 to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.
