Brock Richard Purdy popularly known as Brock Purdy was born on 27 December 1999 in Queen Creek, Arizona. Purdy is an active American football quarterback. He plays for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League as of 2024. As he was the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, due to which he became that year's ‘Mr. Irrelevant’.

Brock Purdy has been playing football since he was in high school. He used to play high school football for Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. In 2018, Brock Purdy went to Iowa State University, he was selected as the third-string quarterback. Later, he got a chance to become a starter after Kyle Kempt was struggling with injuries and Zeb Noland was ineffective.

Brock Purdy was undefeated in the regular season in his rookie year. His first NFL loss came in the NCF Conference Championship Round against the Philadelphia Eagles. Starting a career with zero defeats is magnificent for any quarterback. He became the seventh quarterback of the Super Bowl era to maintain a winning streak for his first seven career regular-season games.

Purdy kept his regular season winning streak alive even at the start of the 2023-24 NFL season as he won the first five games before finally losing to the Cleveland Browns in week 6. This would be his first regular-season loss as a starter after 11 games.

In the brief span of his small yet remarkable career, Brock Purdy succeeded in establishing his name as a star player. Some of his achievements are listed below:

· He is the first Mr. Irrelevant, who has thrown a touchdown pass in a regular season game.

· The young 23-year-old, is the only quarterback who has defeated a team led by Tom Brady in his first career start.

· He is the first quarterback, who won his first six career starts and threw at least two touchdown passes in each game.

· He is the lowest-drafted quarterback to start and win a playoff game.

· After Aaron Rodgers, he is the second quarterback to record a passer rating of 115 or greater in his first two starts.
