The Kansas City Chiefs's safety, Bryan Cook, was drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft's second round as the #62 pick. He was born on September 7, 1999, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and went to Mount Healthy High School. By his senior season, he had established himself as a first-team All-SOC member after having 35 tackles, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery in nine defensive games, as well as three touchdowns and 110 yards from four receptions on offense (via Go Bear Cats).

Cook then transferred to the University of Cincinnati in 2019 and graduated in 2021, during which he switched his playing position from cornerback to safety. He was named first-team All-American Athletic Conference. The 2023 NFL season was a turning point for Cook as he deflected a pass to teammate Joshua Williams in the 2023 AFC Championship game, this helped the Chiefs break a stalemate at 20 points. Chiefs then advanced to the Super Bowl LVII with a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Chiefs won 38-35 at the Super Bowl, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles. Since the 2022 NFL Draft, he has recorded 153 tackles, one sack, two fumble recoveries, nine pass deflections, and three interceptions as of January 2025 (via Pro Football Reference).
