The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost wide receiver Chris Godwin to a season-ending ankle injury in their game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. However, Godwin was not the only major offensive contributor the team lost to injury that day as running back Bucky Irving also sustained an injury during that game.

Irving appeared on the Bucs' injury report on Wednesday with a toe injury classification after failing to practice with the team.

Tampa Bay released an injury report on Wednesday, but it was an estimate, so it's still unclear how serious the injury is. Although the Bucs only conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday instead of a practice because they played on Monday, Irving's possible availability for Week 8 is still a cause for worry.

According to reports, Bucky was not seen during the open section of practice on Thursday, so it appears he will miss another practice today as well.

The Bucs will probably rely more on the running game since Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are both hurt. Given this, it would be devastating if they also lost Bucky Irving to an injury that would keep him from playing in any games.

Rachaad White began the season as the team's first back, but Irving has been the Buccaneers' top running back this season. In addition to his 13 catches for 124 yards, he leads the club with 351 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Last week, coach Todd Bowles called the team's running back combination of Sean Tucker, White, and Irving a "three-headed monster.” It's now looking likely one of them will be missing out in Week 8.

Buccaneers fans and fantasy managers should monitor Irving's practice participation level on Friday to determine whether he will be carrying any injury designations for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Bucky Irving injury update: What happened to the Buccaneers RB?

The specific point at which Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving suffered a toe injury on Monday is unknown. With just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, he scored a rushing touchdown, but he left the field after that and never returned.

Irving's participation in Tampa Bay's upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons is much in doubt since he has already missed the first two practices of the week.

Sean Tucker has shown himself to be a more than capable replacement this season when Rachaad White was out injured. He is expected to shoulder more workload and assist White out of the backfield if Bucky Irving is unable to play in the next game against Atlanta.
