The Miami Dolphins are having a rollercoaster 2024 season. They came into the season with major playoff hopes, but so far, they've won just two of their eight games. Those wins were against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots, who both have 2-7 records.
Following the Dolphins' Week 9 loss to the Buffalo Bills, let's take a look at their playoff chances.
Breaking down Miami Dolphins' playoff chances entering Week 10
According to the Sportskeeda Playoff Predictor, the Miami Dolphins have a small chance of making the playoffs. The predictor has them winning just three more games and will finish in last place in the AFC East.

The predictor also sees the Buffalo Bills as the only team in the division to make it to the playoffs. The New York Jets will finish with a winning record, while the Dolphins and Patriots will have the worst records in the NFL.
The prediction has merit due to the Dolphins' strength of schedule. Mike McDaniel's squad has tough matchups against the Jets (twice), Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and LA Rams. There are winnable games against the Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns; however, those teams could pick up form in the second half of the season.
The Dolphins need to pick up theirs fast if they want to have even a remote chance of making the postseason. If not, the honeymoon phase of McDaniel's tenure could rapidly come to an end.
