The New York Daily News reported earlier in the month that the Jets have decided to return to SUNY Cortland for their training camp activities, but the school itself has something to say on that account.
Via CBS New York:
“We have not received an official decision from them or an unofficial decision from them and they have not made any announcements,” SUNY Cortland director of public relations Frederic Pierce said in a phone interview with 104.5 The Team in Albany, according to the station’s website.
“At this point, we don’t even know what our relationship with the New York Jets is,” Pierce said. “We certainly hope we have a relationship with them this summer and would like to host camp.”
The Jets announced they were looking at potential alternative sites back in January. It’s coming down to the wire here, as the 2014 NFL Draft is now less than a month away.
