The Dallas Cowboys have decided that star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb won't be available for the last two games of the disappointing, injury-riddled 2024 NFL season. With a statement, the Texan franchise announced its plans to shut down Lamb for the rest of the campaign due to his lingering shoulder issue.
The Cowboys were one of the biggest disappointments this campaign after recording another winning season in 2023. They endured a series of injuries during the year that hit Dak Prescott (hamstring, out for the year) and Micah Parsons, to name a few.
Now, another cornerstone of the franchise will finish his campaign sooner than expected to try to get healthy for 2025.

“Additional examinations and scans this week on CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to a point that he will be listed as "Out" for the remaining two games of the season."
"He will undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation for his shoulder, is not currently expected to require surgery and is projected to make a full recovery," the statement reads.
Lamb initially got hurt against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season. He was diagnosed with an AC joint injury in his right shoulder after an MRI. Lamb was considered week-to-week shortly after sustaining this injury, but he played through injury, stating that he didn't want to leave his teammates alone after Dak Prescott picked up his season-ending injury.
If you're a fantasy manager counting on CeeDee Lamb to make a final push for a fantasy championship, it's time to start looking for another wide receiver.
After 15 games played, Lamb recorded 101 receptions for 1,194 receiving yards (11.8 yards per catch) and six receiving touchdowns. He led the team in receiving yards in the last three games, posting 93, 116, and 105, respectively.
The Cowboys will close out the regular season against the two teams fighting to win the NFC East, meaning that they could have a say in who wins the division, but without Lamb on the field, it's hard to imagine they could keep up with the Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders.
