Charles Omenihu is an American football defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. Omenihu began his football career at Rowlett High School in Texas. After high school, he decided to carry on playing football with Texas University from 2015 through 2018. During his senior year at Texas University, Omenihu secured 9.5 sacks that led to his victory in the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year award for 2018, as per Texas Longhorns' official website.
The Houston Texans drafted Omenihu with the 161st pick in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In 2021, Omenihu was traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Furthermore, Omenihu pursued his professional career by accepting a two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2023.
