The Chicago Bears hosted the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season on Sunday. The game kicked off at 1 p.m. EDT from Soldier Field in Chicago, under slightly cloudy conditions with temperatures around 68°F.

The Rams won the toss and chose to defer. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams led the offense for the Bears, while Stafford was the starting signal-caller for LA.

After trailing early, the Bears made a comeback to win 24-18.

Rams vs. Bears game summary

Although Chicago had the first possession, the Rams opened the scoring when Joshua Karty made a 46-yard field goal with 4:01 left in the first quarter. The Rams led 3-0 after the first quarter.

LA extended its lead early in the second quarter when Karty made a 37-yard field goal.

The Bears, however, eventually got on the scoresheet when Roschon Johnson rushed for a 1-yard touchdown with 5:42 remaining in the second quarter. Cairo Santos converted the extra point to give Chicago a 7-6 lead. The Bears eventually led 10-6 at halftime when Santos made a 40-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds remaining in the half.

The third quarter opened with Karty making a 25-yard field goal as the Rams cut the deficit to one point. However, Williams combined with D. J. Moore for a 9-yard TD to give Chicago some breathing space heading into the final quarter.

The Rams struck back early in the final quarter when Kyren Williams rushed for a 3-yard touchdown. They went for a 2-point attempt but were unsuccessful.

The Bears responded well in possession and D'Andre Swift rushed for a 36-yard touchdown. Santos converted the extra point.

Karty made a 52-yard field goal to cut the deficit to six points, but it wasn't enough as the Bears held on to win 24-18.
