Chris Godwin's team went into Monday Night Football hungry for a win over the vaunted Baltimore Ravens. Instead, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were forced into turning garbage time into something greater. They pulled off a few touchdowns to make the score look closer, but it cost them Chris Godwin, who is reportedly out for the season.

With Godwin out of the picture indefinitely, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and fantasy managers are scrambling to figure out a way forward. While the Buccaneers may or may not trade for a one-year rental to replace Chris Godwin, fantasy managers are strongly considering it.

Of course, it could hurt one's fantasy team further to explore trading instead of the waiver wire, but for those with the correct assets to burn to make something happen, here's a look at five options to replace Chris Godwin via trade.

#1 - Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers

The odds of finding someone willing to part with Reed might be hard, but not impossible. After Reed put up just three points in half-PPR leagues last week, some managers might be open to panic trading him. This would work out great for those lucky enough to get a deal done.

Reed is the sixth-ranked wide receiver in PPR fantasy leagues, so adding him would seemingly be a net upgrade over Godwin.

#2 - Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans is questionable for next week, but after suffering an injury in the Monday Night Football contest alongside Godwin, some managers might want to get out now. Mike Evans has never had less than 1,000 yards in a season and if you could nab him, you might miss him for a week or a few weeks, but he will make up for it once he is fully healthy heading into the playoffs.

#3 - Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill lit up the league like a Christmas tree last season, but this year, he is ranked in the 40s in most leagues. That, of course, is most likely due to the turnover at quarterback since Tua Tagovailoa's injury. With Tagovailoa slated to return in the near future, Hill's value will increase.

If you can get him before the boom, you'd be well set up for the second half of the fantasy football season.

#4 - Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have been patiently waiting for Cooper Kupp's return for most of the 2024 season. After weeks of waiting, Kupp is expected to be back for Thursday Night Football this week.

Some managers might not have a need for him anymore, so Kupp could be a decent trade option to replace Chris Godwin. Once Puka Nacua also returns in the near future, there will be plenty of one-on-one opportunities for Kupp.

#5 - Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts

Michael Pittman has some fantasy managers disillusioned and he would likely be a step down from Chris Godwin in the end. However, if you wanted to pursue a cheaper fantasy trade option, this might be the easiest wide receiver to pull off a deal on. Pittman is ranked in the 30s in most fantasy football leagues.
