Christian Watson fans were treated to a scary sight late in the team's Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos. Shortly before losing the game, the wide receiver was spotted lying down on the sideline. How much time will he miss? Here's the latest on the Green Bay Packers star.
Christian Watson injury update
It appears that the Packers' No. 1 receiver is trending toward only missing a short amount of time. At least, that is how it appears to Deepak Chona, an MD who specializes in injury data analysis. Chona looked at some of the comments about the receiver and surmised that the injury could affect him for two weeks.

He might even play in the team's next game, albeit at a diminished level. It appears Chona means the receiver could be used as a decoy at times and as a receiver in certain routes. He wouldn't be 100% but would still be good enough to step on the gridiron.
What happened to Christian Watson?
Watson suffered a knee injury late in the team's Week 7 contest against the Denver Broncos. It happened on a play in which he was targeted by Jordan Love on an "in" route over the middle of the field. While attempting to catch the ball, he tweaked his right knee.
Without Watson at 100%, this puts Jayden Reed back on the map in fantasy leagues. When Watson missed a good chunk of the early part of the year, Reed saw an increased role. Now, with Watson hurt again, it seems that his backup will get more looks from Jordan Love in the short term.
When will Christian Watson return?
The wide receiver will be questionable this week against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. He might play or he might skip the contest. With the Packers at 2-4, the team likely can't afford to let him completely miss the game. That said, if he's less than 100%, he might not be able to play at the peak of his powers.
As such, it is a grey situation for fantasy football. Managers with Watson on their teams might want to bench him for a week if they have another fully healthy wide receiver to avoid the risk. Meanwhile, those already using Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed regularly have an added reason to play them once again.
