Brian Robinson Jr. is back at it again. The Washington Commanders' "thunder" running back is in another fantasy comparison after defeating Zach Charbonnet and David Montgomery.
This time, each of his two opponents - Chuba Hubbard and Jerome Ford - would normally be backups. But differing circumstances have put them in a starting position. Will he win again?

Chuba Hubbard was not originally going to be the Carolina Panthers' main running back for last season. He was supposed to sit behind free-agent signing Miles Sanders as the team looked to begin a new era of contention under Bryce Young.
Then the disaster occurred. During the Panthers' poor start, Sanders struggled terribly. By Week 6, Hubbard was starting again, which would last well until the end of a miserable 2-15 campaign.
It is now 2024. The Canadian has once again become the RB1, and he has been doing well: 192 yards on 37 carries. though still no touchdowns.
Breaking past the Cincinnati Bengals will be a challenge, however, despite their 0-3 record, as they have at least three credible players who can stop him. Defensive ends Sam Hubbard, Trey Hendrickson and linebacker Logan Wilson.
He can still be a sensible pick, if not better than Brian Robinson Jr. or Jerome Ford on the fantasy team.

Brian Robinson Jr. needs no introduction. He was dominant against the New York Giants in Week 2, as the Commanders finally won a game after nine straight losses dating back to 2023.
He dropped significantly in the next game against the Bengals, with only 33 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. But maybe he did not need another huge performance when Jayden Daniels was dominating the game en route to another win.
Against the Arizona Cardinals, Robinson Jr. once again has a chance at dominance. Barely anyone on the opposing front has a chance against him. This includes linebacker Zaven Collins, who will co-star his teammate Budda Baker.

Like Chuba Hubbard, Jerome Ford was not supposed to become a starter. But after Nick Chubb suffered one of the scariest injuries early in the 2023 season, he had to step up. And he delivered, helping the Cleveland Browns clinch a playoff spot with 813 yards and four touchdowns on 204 carries.
And in 2024, he is once again leading the ground game with Chubb still on injured reserve. He is the team's leading rusher in each of their three games: 145 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
Against the Las Vegas Raiders, he is set to meet a stout defense that boasts not just TFL (tackles for loss) master Maxx Crosby but emerging star linebackers Divine Deablo and Robert Spillane as well.

For the second week in a row, Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer has Brian Robinson Jr. winning a three-way comparison.
The Dan Quinn/Adam Peters regime has so far done a good job of turning one of the league's biggest controversy magnets into a franchise that looks to regain its brand value under new ownership.
