Chuba Hubbard reportedly agreed to a blockbuster contract extension with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The running back will put pen to paper on a four-year, $33.2 million extension.

Hubbard's new deal will make him one of the highest-paid players in his position. On that note, here's a list of the top 10 RBs in the NFL this season, in terms of average annual salary, according to Spotrac.

#10. De'Andre Swift, $8 million annual salary

Swift signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Chicago Bears in March this year. He is set to earn $8 million yearly based on his current deal.

#9. Chuba Hubbard, $8.3 million annual salary

With his new deal, Hubbard ranks ninth among the highest-paid running backs in the NFL. The Panthers star will earn $8.3 million in annual salary.

#8. Joe Mixon, $8.5 million annual salary

Mixon inked a three-year, $25.5 million contract extension with the Houston Texans this offseason. His deal equates to $8.5 million in annual average value.

#7. Rhamondre Stevenson, $9 million annual salary

Stevenson signed a four-year, $36 million extension with the New England Patriots in August. His deal is worth $9 million in annual average salary.

#6. David Montgomery, $9.125 million annual salary

In October, Montgomery put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension worth $18.25 million with the Detroit Lions. He will make $9.125 million in annual average salary.

#5. Josh Jacobs, $12 million annual salary

Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Green Bay Packers this offseason. The running back signed with the team as a free agent after leaving the Las Vegas Raiders. His deal equates to 12 million in annual average salary.

Kamara put pen to paper on a two-year, $24.5 million extension with the New Orleans Saints in October. The running back earns $12.25 in annual salary.

Barkley joined the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason and signed a three-year, $37.5 million deal with the franchise. His contract equates to $12.583 million in annual salary.

Taylor signed a mammoth three-year, $42 million extension with the Indianapolis Colts in October 2023. His deal sees him make $14 million per year in salary.

McCaffrey signed a two-year, $38 million extension with the San Francisco 49ers this offseason. He was rewarded with the deal after being named the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year. McCaffrey's deal equates to $19 million in annual salary, making him the NFL's highest-paid running back in 2024.
