Chuba Hubbard is a potential star in the making for the Carolina Panthers, assuming that ownership is competent enough to build around him. James Conner is a veteran who's once again feeling the benefits of having top-tier passing options that could lessen his burden.
Neither of these men most fantasy managers will consider when determining which runing backs will start, but there are some who will do. So, who between the two is the better pick?

The 2024 thousand-yard club is populated by elite players like Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs and Jahmyr Gibbs. Absolutely no one expected Chuba Hubbard to join it on Sunday.
Nevertheless, he did, in the process hitting 200 fantasy points as well. And that deserves better than being a mere RB25 on a currently moribund team.
And he should do very well against the Dallas Cowboys, who are among the worst when it comes to containing running backs - 25.08 points on average. They couldn't contain the elites, so what chance they stand against a supposed minnow who has instead become a low-key contributor?
Is James Conner a good fantasy pick in Week 15?
James Conner needs no introduction. He's a part of a titanic quartet that also includes Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride.
The RB14 had one of his best fantasy performances yet last time out against the Seattle Seahawks, scoring 22.2 points in the 18-30 loss. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots have kept themselves in the upper half of the RB fantasy defense table (22.82 points) despite a lack of relatively well-known defenders besides Christian Gonzalez and Kyle Dugger.
So, what does that mean for the two-time Pro Bowler? Frankly, that team's front seven still needs work, so he should get another strong haul.
Whom should I start between Chuba Hubbard and James Conner?
It's not even close: the Sportskeeda Start/Sit Optimizer is siding with the man who has made multiple playoff appearances.
Conner is one big performance away from joining the 200-point club, and despite his inferior stats, his Cardinals are still in the playoff hunt. As for Hubbard, while the Panthers could become the first 10-loss team to appear in the postseason, that's more likely a far-fetched fantasy - another miss that will waste his surprising individual brilliance.
