The Cleveland Browns are at a pivotal point in their rebuild heading into the 2023 NFL season. The Cleveland Browns are currently part of a comprehensive, open AFC Conference that could see several teams vying for a playoff spot. Last season, the Browns couldn't make it out of the AFC North, but next season could be different for their rivals as the Baltimore Ravens are currently in a feud with Lamar Jackson.
However, before the Cleveland Browns can think of contending, they must make innovative additions to their roster via free agency. Here are three players that we think the Cleveland Browns should look into adding to make all the difference next season.

Three free agents that the Cleveland Browns should target
1. A'Shawn Robinson, defensive tackle, Los Angeles Rams
A'Shawn Robinson has been an underrated defensive help for the Los Angeles Rams for quite some time now, but he is moving on this off-season. Robinson has the uncanny ability to stop runners dead in their tracks, which the Browns lack. The stellar prospect could be a cost-effective addition to the Browns, as he won't be averse to signing a short-term prove-it deal.

The only knock on Robinson's addition would be that he suffered a torn meniscus that cut his 2022 NFL season short. His ability to sign a contract will depend on his ability to pass a physical, so it could take some patience to land Robinson. Still, he's a massive space eater with long arms that could immediately provide credibility on the defensive interior and help protect their linebackers.
How much will his contract cost: One year, $2.5 million; $1.5 million total guaranteed
2. Matt Ioannidis, defensive tackle, Carolina Panthers
Quality defensive tackles are hardly available in the free agency market, so you can bet that Matt Ioannidis will have his suitors. The soon-to-be free agent is coming off the back of a stellar two-season run that saw him put up solid stats for the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders. He was a critical defensive clog for both teams, and the Cleveland Browns would love to have such a defensive stud on their roster.
Matt Ioannidis excels as an upfield penetrator, so he could be a solid fit in the Browns' run-heavy system. Ioannidis has benefited from playing as part of two strong defensive lines. So, making him part of an ensemble effort is essential instead of relying on him to carry his teammates.
How much will his contract cost: Two years, $13 million ($6.5M per year); $7.5 million total guaranteed
3. Duron Harmon, Safety, Las Vegas Raiders
Who doesn't love a good ball hawk? That's right, every team in the NFL would want a player like Duron Harmon on their roster. Harmon is an exciting prospect at free safety, and he is known to be a vocal leader on the defensive side of the ball. The Browns lack leaders and stellar defenders; three-time Super Bowl champ Harmon ticks both boxes.
In his last four seasons in the league, all spent with different teams, Harmon has racked up two interceptions and five pass deflections. What's more, he can be picked up at a team-friendly price. So, why not take a chance on the ballhawk?
How much will his contract cost: One year, $1.75 million; $825,000 total guaranteed
