Cody Simon NIL deals

Cody Simon is a former collegiate linebacker who represented Ohio State from 2020 to 2024. Simon is one of the draft prospects in the 2025 NFL draft. The Jersey City, New Jersey native (as per NFL’s official website) finished his secondary education at St. Peter’s Preparatory School, where he played football under head coach Rich Hansen’s tutelage. Simon’s athleticism score and total score given by Next Gen Stats ranked 10th among all linebackers at the 2025 NFL Combine, as recorded by the NFL’s official website.

Revisiting Simon’s post-high school career, he appeared in 49 games for the Buckeyes in his 5-year collegiate tenure. The 6-ft-2 linebacker took the field in a Buckeyes uniform for the first time during the 2020 season campaign as a special teamer and depth linebacker, per Ohio State’s official Athletics website. After appearing in only five games his freshman year, Simon went on to play in at least 12 or more games each of his last four seasons as a Buckeye. Simon concluded his collegiate career by helping the Buckeyes win the CFP National Championship in the 2024 season, where he was chosen as the game's defensive MVP. According to Pro Football Focus, Simon played the majority of his snaps lined up in the box from the 2022 to 2024 season. Simon was awarded an overall grade of 87.7 for his 2024 season production by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
