The Chicago Bears went up against the Tennessee Titans and we saw plenty of turnovers between Caleb Williams and Anthony Richardson to signal that there would be no shortage of growing pains for both quarterbacks. But if there was one bright spot on that Bears offense (there were two, including Rome Odunze, but for argument's sake, let's keep it at one), it was veteran tight end Cole Kmet.

If you're struggling to optimize your fantasy roster heading, picking Kmet off the Week 4 waiver wire might be the shot in the arm your roster needs this week.

Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Adds: Cole Kmet

Kmet had a pretty quiet couple of weeks to start the season. His 8.1-point return after two weeks of football meant the veteran tight end found himself on the outside looking in.

But Week 3 finally delivered the breakout game he was looking for. Against the Indianapolis Colts, Kmet caught 10 of his 11 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown, delivering 25.7 fantasy points. It's not often you see a top-10 fantasy tight end from last season end up on the waiver wire but the Chicago Bears don't have the luxury of boasting about their TE depth so we're likely to see Kmet get more and more involved as Caleb Williams finds his sea legs.

Interestingly, Kmet was targeted just six times through the first two weeks but was one of Williams' primary targets against Indy as the rookie quarterback threw for 363 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The fact that Kmet's usage increased exponentially in Week 3 is a positive sign if you're looking at him as a waiver wire pickup. Considering Keenan Allen is still nursing a heel injury, we're likely to see Kmet get more involved on offense.

Week 4 also represents a good matchup for the Bears' tight end. Chicago will go up against an LA Rams defense that just offered up a career night to Jauan Jennings, who racked up 11 receptions off 12 targets for 175 yards and three touchdowns. The tight end position has been tricky to navigate this year so if you need help at the position, Kmet is your man. At present, he is rostered in 26.1% of ESPN leagues and 40% of Yahoo! leagues.
