Since Andrew Luck's retirement following the 2018-19 season, the Indianapolis Colts have gone through quite the carousel of quarterbacks.
Jacoby Brissett started the carousel, followed by one-year stints from both Philip Rivers and Carson Wentz. Now, Matt Ryan is the latest quarterback to hop on and enjoy the ride.
The others lasted a full season, but the Matt Ryan experiment seems to be coming to an early end. On Monday, the team announced there will be a quarterback change in Indy.

Make no mistake - this has nothing to do with a Matt Ryan injury. Per The Athletic's Zak Keefer, the Colts plan on replacing Ryan for the rest of the season, regardless of whether he's healthy or not.
One can only wonder who the next QB to hop on the carousel will be.
One and done - The story of Matt Ryan and the Colts
Following the end of Philip Rivers' one-year contract with the team, Indianapolis thought it best to grab another veteran quarterback: former Eagles' QB1, Carson Wentz.
The Wentz experiment didn't work out quite how the Colts had hoped, forcing Indy to trade their recently-acquired signal caller to the Washington Commanders. In need of a replacement, the team then traded for former MVP Matt Ryan.
Unfortunately, the experiment hasn't gone much different than either of the prior two. To this point, Ryan is the league-leader in interceptions thrown, with the 20th-highest QB rating (84.7).
Under Matt Ryan, Indianapolis has posted a record of 3-3-1. This is an undeniable disappointment when factoring in the great talent on the roster and subpar AFC South division the team plays in.
It doesn't help that no quarterback in the league has been sacked more than Matt Ryan, albeit that's more reason to switch to a passer with more mobility.
Sam Ehlinger has appeared in three contests, although he's yet to record a passing attempt. He does have one rushing touchdown to his name, though. However, the chances of him being their long-term solution seem small considering that he's a former sixth-round pick.
