The final game of Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season pitted the Los Angeles Rams against the Miami Dolphins at SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football. The home team needed a win to keep pace with the 6-4 Arizona Cardinals and 5-4 San Francisco 49ers in the race for the NFC West division title.

For the Rams to beat the Dolphins, their offense, especially wide receiver Cooper Kupp, needed to have a good game. Through Week 10, the veteran has had only two big games, which is uncharacteristic.

Coming into the game against the Dolphins, he had only 34 catches for 302 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He missed four games due to an ankle injury and it was seemingly still bothering him in his return to action against the Minnesota Vikings, as he finished with five catches for 51 yards and one touchdown.

However, Cupp looked much better in the Rams' win over the Seattle Seahawks last week, catching 11 passes for 104 yards. LA hoped he'd perform just as well against Miami on Monday night.

Here's how he fared:

Cooper Kupp's stats tonight vs. Dolphins

Cooper Kupp had a decent outing against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Here are his numbers:

  • Targets: 7
  • Receptions: 7
  • Yards: 80
  • Average: 11.4
  • Touchdowns: 0

The veteran wide receiver found separation from his defender on nearly every play and his synergy with quarterback Matthew Stafford looked on point every time the two tried to connect.

But despite Kupp having a field day against the Dolphins' secondary, he was targeted only seven times, thrice in the first half, and four times in the second. Had the Rams called more plays for him, perhaps they could have scored more points and come away with the win.

Instead, they lost 23-15 and are now 4-5, 1.5 games behind NFC West leaders, the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach Sean McVay will be disappointed about the offense's performance, but he has to shoulder the blame for not calling enough plays to ensure that the ball got to Kupp more often, who was having a terrific game.
