NFL legend Adrian Peterson has landed himself in some hot water with the law. The former Minnesota Vikings running back has reportedly had an arrest warrant issued against him on Thursday afternoon.
While there is a possibility that Peterson could be arrested, his publicist Denise White issued a statement to USA Today on Thursday.
"The current legal case is related to a misunderstanding regarding Adrian’s court appearances as it relates to child support, and he is actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. He is committed to clearing up this situation and moving forward positively," White's statement read.
Per reports, the arrest warrants against Peterson were issued in Fort Bend County in Texas after he failed to appear in court for two different child support cases.
