Now that the Dallas Cowboys have been eliminated from the playoffs, it's time to start thinking about next season. The names of opponents each NFL franchise would be facing in the 2023 season has been made public by the league authorities.
The Cowboys will compete in the AFC East, which has the Buffalo Bills, in addition to the customary six games featuring NFC East opponents.

The Cowboys failed to retain their 2022 championship despite having the same record as last season; hence, the NFC East has a new winner. The Philadelphia Eagles ended 14-3 to win the division and the conference; therefore, Dallas' 12-5 record wasn't good enough.
The Cowboys' matchups in 2023 are set after they finished runner-up in the NFC East. Here are the opponents the team will face off with, although the final schedule will be made public in March.
Teams Dallas Cowboys will be facing at home:
Detroit Lions
Los Angeles Rams
New England Patriots
New York Giants
New York Jets
Philadelphia Eagles
Seattle Seahawks
Washington Commanders
Teams Dallas Cowboys would be facing away:
Arizona Cardinals
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Los Angeles Chargers
Miami Dolphins
New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles
San Francisco 49ers
Washington Commanders
According to NFL scheduling regulations, the 2023 calendar adheres to the same structure as every other team.
The eight teams that will play at AT&T Stadium next season include the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, and New York Jets. Additionally, nine away games against teams like the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and San Francisco 49ers are set in stone.
Since the Dallas Cowboys were placed second in the NFC East, they will face the second-place teams from the NFC North and NFC South. Also, keep in mind that the NFL introduced a 17th matchup two years ago. So, with all of that combined, Dallas will play 17 games overall.
The flights to the west coast will be challenging as Dallas will also have to travel to San Francisco during the regular season. After rising from 3-4 to 13-4 during the regular season in 2022, the 49ers eliminated the Cowboys from the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
