Curtis Samuel, a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers as the 40th pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. After four seasons with the Panthers, he signed with the Washington Commanders in 2021 and eventually with the Buffalo Bills in March 2024. In over eight seasons with the NFL, he has played in 104 games, starting 59, recording 341 receptions for 3,584 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. Further, he also had 126 attempts for 729 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Samuel went to Erasmus High School and also ran track along with football. He ran for 1,461 yards and 17 touchdowns in his senior year, averaging 15.8 yards per rush. He received an invitation to the All-American Bowl and was awarded the 2013 New York Gatorade Player of the Year. Graduating in 2014 as a four-star recruit, he joined the Ohio State Buckeyes and was named the 2015 NFL National Champion, 2016 first-team All-American, and 2016 first-team All-Big Ten. He is the only player in Ohio State history to ever accumulate more than 1,000 career yards in both receiving and running. In his three seasons at college, he had 172 attempts for 1,286 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.
