D'Andre Swift is no stranger to the NFC North. However, it has been a season since he has competed in the upper mid-west. With Swift back in the North after spending a year with the Philadelphia Eagles, the quick turnaround leaves fantasy managers wondering if there is a clear reason why they should treat him like the Eagles did. Here's an in-depth look at Swift and whether you should draft him.
Should you draft Bears RB D'Andre Swift in 2024?
D'Andre Swift has a place in this year's fantasy drafts. However, there is such a thing as drafting him far too early. If he is taken too early, it could tank and/or do significant damage to a manager's prospects.

D'Andre Swift 2024 fantasy outlook, ADP and 2023 stats
According to Sportskeeda's Fantasy Draft calculator, Swift is in for potentially his best season in terms of total production. Swift is estimated to earn just under 900 yards on the ground, but he will earn only six touchdowns. Unlike some of the other running backs, Swift also will have a decent boost via his receiving production. He is expected to earn about 437 yards and about three touchdowns.
This would be a step up from his production in 2023, but not by much. Last year, he earned 1049 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. In terms of receiving, he earned 214 yards and one touchdown. In total, the projection expects around 1350 total yards and nine touchdowns. Last year, he earned about 1265 yards and six touchdowns.
In terms of average draft position, Swift is set to be selected around 60th overall in leagues across all scoring formats. He also has a position ADP of 20, meaning he could be selected rather quickly.
Is D'Andre Swift a good pick in fantasy football this year?
Put simply, yes, Swift is a solid pickup this year with the Chicago Bears. With expectations of roughly 1300 yards and nine touchdowns, plenty of solid weeks are ahead for him. Of course, as with any running back expected to come up short of about 1700 total yards on the ground, there is a possibility of drafting him too high.
Where should you draft D'Andre Swift this year?
Put simply, it depends on how the draft shakes out. If there is an early run on running backs in your draft, it would make sense to pick Swift around the third or fourth round. However, if running backs somehow stick it out, then drafting him in the fifth round makes sense.
