The Detroit Lions have added D.J. Chark Jr. to their active list for their Week 11 game against the New York Giants. Chark worked out with the Detroit Lions on Wednesday for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in late September.
Due to an ankle issue he was struggling with, Chark spent a significant part of the campaign on injured reserve. However, he has now recovered and will be ready to participate on Sunday. In his first game back, the team might restrict his snaps, but he might be worth starting when he's fully ready.
The 26-year-old's comeback raises questions about how the snaps will be distributed in Detroit. Chark should be behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, but ahead of Kalif Raymond. With so many questions regarding his fitness and snap percentage, we do not recommend starting D.J. Chark in Week 11.

Chark signed a one-year, $10 million contract for 2022 after breaking his ankle and missing the final 13 games of the previous season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Josh Reynolds, who has been dealing with a back issue, missing his third consecutive game, the deep-threat expert ought to feature in some capacity.
Prior to sitting out six games due to an ankle injury, Chark received a touchdown pass in Week 1 and had seven catches in the first three weeks. On October 22, he was placed on injured reserve.
Dan Campbell, the coach of the Lions, was vague on his return, giving the impression that they'll see how he goes. This isn't enough to inspire anyone to start Chark yet, as the risk of a low score is too high. When he is fully fit, he is worth having on your bench, in case he starts to perform. Only after that should you start him.
D.J. Chark's time with the Detroit Lions has been underwhelming; he only managed seven catches for 98 yards in three games before he sustained a lengthy ankle problem. The impending introduction of rookie Jameson Williams clouds Chark's outlook for the remainder of the campaign. Still, he should be prepared for an appearance against the New York Giants in what could be a boom or bust week.
For most of his career, D.J. Chark has been used as a vertical threat, but Detroit might want to deploy him across the formation. For fantasy football reasons, it may be helpful if he gets some action from both the slot and out wide. As mentioned above, Chark needs to prove himself an asset to your team before he should feature in your lineup.
